Methodology

Our methodology

How Naples Rolex researches, verifies, and corrects its Rolex reference content — and why independence matters.

Every page here is original writing, fact-checked against established Rolex references and cross-checked for accuracy before publishing. We correct errors when found and show a “last updated” signal on cornerstone pages.

How we verify

Reference numbers, production years, calibres, and nickname origins are checked against multiple independent sources. Where a popular nickname is disputed — the “Steve McQueen” Explorer II, for instance — we say so plainly rather than repeat folklore as fact.

What we don't do

We do not sell, buy, broker, or appraise watches, and we take no inventory positions. Any market figures we ever show are clearly illustrative, compiled from public data, never offers or appraisals. That independence is the point: we have nothing to inflate.
