Below: what makes the Hulk (116610LV) distinctive, what to verify before buying, and how it fits the Naples collector scene.
The Hulk arrived in 2010 as the ceramic successor to the green-bezel Kermit, but went further: where the Kermit had a black dial, the Hulk paired its green Cerachrom bezel with a bright green sunburst dial. The full-green effect, on the chunkier “Maxi” case of the era, gave it real presence and the Hulk name.
Discontinued in 2020, it has become one of the most recognisable modern Submariners, and its end of production sharpened demand.
What to verify
In Naples
The Hulk is a bold, sunlit green that suits Naples' outdoor life — and as a discontinued reference, it is a collector target rather than a showroom buy. Expect to shop the secondary market, where condition and a full set move the price.
We are an independent reference, not a dealer: we cannot sell you a Hulk or appraise one. What we can do is help you read the reference and know what separates a correct example from a cobbled-together one.
Hulk FAQ
The Kermit (16610LV, 2003) has a green bezel and a black dial; the Hulk (116610LV, 2010) has a green ceramic bezel and a green dial. The Hulk is green all over, hence the stronger nickname.
Yes. The 116610LV Hulk was discontinued in 2020 and replaced by the 126610LV, which returned to a green bezel with a black dial — nicknamed the Cermit or Starbucks.
Its unmistakable all-green look, strong wrist presence, and discontinuation in 2020 combined to make it one of the most sought modern Submariners.
Naples has an active Rolex market through retail, boutiques, and private sales — but Naples Rolex is an independent reference, not a dealer. We don't sell or broker watches. Use this guide to verify a Hulk before you buy, wherever you find it.
